FRANCE/POLAND: COMMON SUMMER CAMP 2010 OF POLISH AND FRENCH COMPANIES
The French guides company of Claire de Geloes from Versailles and Polish one of Joanna Maj from Wrocław will organise a common summer camp in July 2010 in Poland in the place of Eurojam 2003. All the Polish and French chiefs and assistants met in Poland last November (on the photo) to prepare this twinned activity.
SWITZERLAND/POLAND/FRANCE: INTERNATIONAL TRAINING CAMP 21-28 FEB 2010
Cyril Mounier from France and David Sanchez from Switzerland will organise an international training camp with the candidates from Poland, Switzerland and France from 21 to 28 Feb 2010. The camp will be held near famous Abbaye of Saint-Maurice, south from Lausanne, Switzerland, funded in 515 by the Sigismund, the king of Burgundy.
They expect 1m of snow in the place of the camp, so the chiefs must be well equiped. Contrary to the well established opinion, the Polish chiefs are not so accustomed to this kind of adventure. There were at least 8 candidates in Poland, but only 4 fortunates were admitted.
RUSSIA: "SCOUTINFORM" NEWSLETTER OF THE RUSSIAN ASSOCIATION
Our Russian association began to publish a regular newsletter "Scoutinform", in Russian, of course. If somebody wants to learn or improve his Russian together with keeping in touch with what's going on there from St.Petersburg to Kamchatka, can address himself directly to Vera Ageeva from St. Petersburg in order to receive "Scoutinform" regularly: firstname.lastname@example.org
FRANCE: MEETING OF RELIGIOUS ADVISERS IN MONTMARTRE/PARIS
More than 50 religious advisers (RA) attended this yearly meeting on January 25th-26th 2010. A "vade mecum" for RA was presented and discussed. There were several speeches: about the European vocation of the FSE (by Zbigniew Minda), about the French annual theme "Searchers of Truth" (by father Bonino), about the commitment of Christians in Europe (by father Burgun) and about priesthood in a movement of lay people (by father Stern). Father Boguslaw Migut, our Federal RA, spoke about unity, support to families, and the importance of leading to Christ and being friends to him. The atmosphere was very friendly, with times of reflection, exchanges, prayer all together.
SPAIN: CASTELLON NEW GROUPS
The Spanish General Commissioner, Juan Pedro, recognised two new groups of Castellon on Sunday 31 January. The ceremony took place in Saint Thomas Parish together with the nomination of new group chiefs and Akelas. The day before they had a common metting of about 20 Castellon and Valencia chiefs.
ROME: ANNUAL MEETING WITH CARD. RYLKO
On January 30, the Federal Bureau with its president Giovanni de Franchi and other members as well as with Charles-Eric Clesse, Belgian General Commissioner, had an annual meeting with Card. Stanislaw Rylko, president of the Pontifical Council for Laity. Giovanni presented the activities of the FSE in the past year. Charles-Eric talked about the secularisation of the traditional catholic scouting in his country. Gunther Walter, our vicepresident, spoke about the important formation project of the 12 Stars Training Camp for all FSE Commissioners. Card. Rylko welcome with satisfaction all our activities and projects, especially he insisted on the importance of the formation in our movement. He was very happy with the 12 Stars Camp. He expressed the gratitude for the regularity of our visits and invited us to work with entusiasm and to paricipate massively in the World Youth Day in Madrid 2011.
CHIEF GALLERY: MARICHKA KOSMUNKA FROM LVIV/UKRAINE
Marichka entered the European Scouting in 2003 on her mother's proposal just after the Eurojam. She has brother Ivan and sister Irina. Marichka studied pedagogy in the Ivan Franko University of Lviv. She works in a school. Responsible for the Free Patrols Net in Ukraine, she wants to come this year to Shamrog in France to deepen her guide pedagogical formation.
